PIR flat roof insulation & fleece-reinforced PURelastik liquid plastic
The combination of PIR flat roof insulation and fleece-reinforced PURelastik liquid plastic offers a long-lasting flat roof restoration through low installation heights and seamless waterproofing. While PIR boards provide excellent insulation values (thermal conductivity Lambda value (λ) of 0.022 W/(mK)) at minimal thickness, the liquid-applied PURelastik with fleece reinforcement ensures a crack-bridging, UV-resistant, and homogeneous surface, especially at complex details.
The restoration process includes substrate preparation, installation of the vapor barrier, precise PIR placement, and full-surface sealing with PURelastik liquid plastic & fleece. This system solution guarantees compliance with GEG (future GMG) standards, high compressive strength, and a low-maintenance, durable roof structure.
Key advantages of
PIR flat roof insulation:
Low build-up height: Thanks to a thermal conductivity (λ) of 0.022 to 0.026 W/(mK), PIR boards can be up to 40% thinner than polystyrene (EPS) or rock wool while providing the same insulation performance.
High compressive strength: The boards are highly stable, making them ideal for accessible flat roofs or roof terraces.
Heat resistance: PIR can briefly withstand high temperatures (e.g., during the torch-on application of bitumen membranes) of up to 250 °C.
Moisture resistant: The material absorbs almost no water and is resistant to rot.
